Knitting Artists of Northern Virginia
The Guild was founded in 1985
and welcomes knitters of all experience levels. KANV's mission is
to promote and share knowledge of the art of knitting, which it
does through outreach, education and support of current and
potential knitters.
Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of
the month at 730 pm at the Packard Center, with guest
speakers and variety of programs. New members are always welcome. The Knitting Artists also have a casual drop-in meeting on
the first Saturday of the month, from 930 a.m-12 noon.
Member
benefits include a monthly newsletter, discounts at participating
local yarn shops, and use of the guild's library of books and patterns. At least once a year, a nationally recognized teacher from
outside the Washington metro area provides a special weekend
program for the guild.
