Jean Lee
(JLL) – Stained Glass Jewelry
Artist Biography
Jean Lee has worked in stained glass for many years and has developed a shimsical and personal adornment art form. The activity in a piece of glass often directs the design, color and theme of the jewelry, which incorporates beads, stones, shells, fibers, recycling heirlooms, and found objects.
Her background in clothing design and floral design often has a strong influence on the theme and design inspirations of the work.
Jean has shown her pieces in local galleries and shops and other venues including The Ellipse, Creative Partners, Glen Echo Park, Friendshop Heights Community Center, Strathmore Arts Center, The Broadway Gallery, and The Artisans in McLean. At present, her work can be found at The Craft Gallery of Artisans United in Annandale, Virginia.
Jean has been active in community outreach and education for many years with her membership affiliations with the National Capital Art Glass Guild, Artisans United, Inc. and the Arts Council of Fairfax County.
